Ivan Ety

Ivan has lived and farmed in Liberty Township his entire life.  He and his wife Becky have two children.  Betsy and her husband Rob, along with their daughter Rachel live in Hilliard.  Andy and his wife Mindy and their children, Alison and Austin live on the home farm where Ivan was reared.

 

He is a graduate of Liberty Union High School and served in the Army Reserves for six years.   He is currently working for Violet Township and also farming.

 

He has served Liberty Township as a trustee since 1992 and currently serves as a member of the Basil Joint Fire District Board representing the trustees.  He is a member of Christ UM Church in Baltimore, a member of the Baltimore Lions Club having served as president, and he is an active member of Farm Bureau Council # 1.

 

His goals as a trustee are to provide better township roads, to have a better and larger service shop for the road department, to provide a user friendly meeting room, and to continue to answer the needs and concerns of the citizens of Liberty Township to the best of his knowledge and ability.

 

Dan has lived in Liberty Township all his life.  He is the sixth generation to do so.  He is married to Betsy.  His son Robert, his wife Amanda and their son, Case, live just next door.  They all love living here.  

He is a Liberty Union-Thurston graduate and an Ohio School of Banking at Ohio University graduate. His work experience includes being a cashier, vice-president, director and branch manager of a bank.  He has been treasurer and director of an oil company.  He has been serving as the clerk (fiscal officer) for Liberty Township since 1992.  He is currently finishing his term as president of the fair board and has been a director since 1989. He has also been a farmer for most of his life.  

His goals for Liberty Township are:

- to preserve our history

- to maintain a great place to live  

  and raise a family, and

- to prepare Liberty Township for 

  our future generations.

Randy Kemmerer was born and raised in Fairfield County and has lived in Liberty township for the last 10 years. He and his wife Yvonne have been married for 34 years and have 3 sons Josh, Jordan and Jacob. Josh is a firefighter/paramedic for Basil Joint Fire District. He and his wife Kendra reside in Baltimore with their daughter Bentley and a baby boy on the way due in May 2012. Jordan resides in Baltimore and owns his own lawncare business, Kemmerer Lawn care. Jacob is a senior at The Ohio State University where he is studying Agricultural Education. He and his fiancée Jena, are getting married in July 2012.

Randy graduated from Fairfield Union High school. His work experience includes 10 years at the Fairfield County Engineers Office. Randy recently retired from Walnut Township as a road supervisor after 22 years of service.

Randy is also involved with the 4H clubs and serves as the assistant superintendent for the swine committee. After 25 years as a 4H advisor, Randy continues to spend time working with the kids of the Thurston Future Farmers 4H club. Randy is a member of the Thurston United Methodist Church and also the Fairfield County Farm Bureau.

His goals as a trustee include:

To provide better service for the tax payers of Liberty Township, such as improving road safety and snow removal for the residents. To provide a new and improved meeting facility, which was completed in 2011. And also to identify ways to increase tax revenue without raising taxes for the residents.
